The Crested Butte Center for the Arts presents An Evening with Trout Steak Revival, Friday, April 6 @ 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and you can purchase tickets here.
Since winning the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, Trout Steak Revival has skyrocketed through a steady stream of awards and accolades including being named by Westword as “Best Bluegrass Band” in 2016 and 2017; chosen by the state of Colorado to represent the culture of its citizens on the Today Show; nominated for the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2016 “Momentum Band of the Year”; and winning an Emmy Award for their soundtrack on a PBS documentary. They blend folk, indie, bluegrass and roots into their own style of Americana evoking a down-to-earth sound with a wholesome message. Expressive songs crafted out of love, fear, heartbreak, wonder, joy and freedom glimpse into the soulful depth of the individual members of Trout Steak Revival while hearkening back to emotions all our own. Their latest album, Spirit to the Sea (produced in 2017 by Chris Pandolfi of the Infamous Stringdusters), delivers a mesmerizing and soul-quenching array of originals with a depth and honesty only possible when a trusting and encouraging group of friends grows together into a band of musicians. Trout Steak Revival is Bevin Foley (fiddle), Steve Foltz (guitar and mandolin), Casey Houlihan (bass), William Koster (guitar and dobro) and Travis McNamara (banjo).
