Dan McElroy, Managing Broker: Dan and his wife Janice have raised their family of 5 in the valley, having been residents in the county for almost 40 years. He has been selling Crested Butte real estate since 1972, and during that time has won countless sales awards, including Top Producer Coldwell Banker's coveted President's Circle Award. Dan has been active over the years with the Crested Butte Ski Club, Rocky Mountain Alpine Competition Committee and was a board member with Rocky Mountain Division of the US Ski Association. He has also served on the school board as both board member and president. At present, Dan serves on the Board of the Crested Butte Land Trust. She went back to New York City packed her bags and headed west. Needless to say she never left! Cathy has been involved in real estate sales and office management since she was licensed in 1978. When not in the office, you'll likely find her and Eric working on their 100 year old miner's home in Crested Butte. Chances are they'll be working on it for another 100 years! She began her successful career in real estate sales in 1973. Her strong negotiating skills, attention to people and thorough knowledge of Crested Butte have contributed to her being awarded Coldwell Banker International President's Circle designation. For a guy straight out of Pittsburgh, PA the mountains in Vermont seemed big until I was lucky enough to see the Colorado Rockies on a ski trip with some friends. In 1976 he married Crested Butte native Tina Kapushion, and they have two daughters, Jodie and Whitney. Wayne has managed the family ranch for many years. He has also designed, developed and marketed several subdivisions in Crested Butte, including the Kapushion Annexation which has been recognized by conservation groups for its use of conservation easements to preserve open space and wetlands. Over the past 35 years he has owned and operated Penelope's Restaurant, The Powerhouse Bar & Grill, and the Cement Creek Tavern. At this time he continues to own and operate the Wooden Nickel. Through the 70's and 80's, he was active in the building business and renovated several historic properties in Crested Butte's commercial core, developed condominiums and several commercial projects.
